This is the most diverse course Black Bear Studio offers. It is geared towards students who want to pursue taxidermy as a business. The Hobbyist and Fisherman's package can be taken before or after this course to get the most out of all our training opportunities. This course includes all your specimen, tools and materials that you will need.

Students will also receive a copy of Breakthrough's Taxidermy Business Manual and a one-year membership to Canadian Taxidermists Association. This allows you to compete in Canada's National Taxidermy Competition (conference fee's not included) and meet a network of other Canadian taxidermists.
Start-up kits of basic tools and materials will be available to purchase with this course and can be taken home at the end of the 7 days.

HOBBYIST

This is a great course for people just starting out. Taxidermy can be a big investment either as a hobby or business. The Hobbyist package allows you to get the hands-on experience before you decide how far you would like to go with it. It's a good option to do before the Advanced course or as a follow-up to add to your skillset. This course includes all your specimen, tools and materials that you will need.

This course is dedicated to fish only. Fish taxidermy is sometimes a specialized field in the industry.
